Top pick: #6 (OUR ELI) - Gelding has been freshened-up since late June by trainer Bruce Brown. He's finished second in five of nine overall and in three of five on the dirt. Stalker is working steadily and draws a nice outside post at this trip. Home-bred can win this if ready.
2nd pick: #4 (Alarmist) - He continues to race with a "bar" shoe on and unlike most with a foot problem he's remained sharp. He finished a solid second last out at Belmont at tgis level and has had almost a month to recover. Speed/stalker should be involved from start-to-finish and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Master Splash) - He rallied to finish third last out, and was 1 1/2 lengths back of Alarmist on the wire. He's a very big horse and may just now be coming around. Stretch threat.
