Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (MORAL REASONING) (5-2) - A $220,000 filly of 'More Than Ready', she rallied to finish second when debuting at this level and distance Sept. 19 at Belmont. In the barn of Chad Brown, 29% (47 of 163) second time out since Jan. 1 of 2018, it's noted that both the 1st and 3rd place finishers in her initial attempt won their next starts. She'll be tough with a clean trip from her inside post.
nd pick: #4 (Strike Magic) (15-1) - Longshot tired after showing good early speed debuting in a dirt sprint at Belmont Oct. 6. She's worked fast since for Mark Hennig and this $200K daughter of 'Into Mischief' is bred to handle the surface switch.
rd pick: #12 (Stunting) (9-2) - One of four making their debuts, this filly sold for $155,000 this past March as a 2yo in training. In the barn of Todd Pletcher 23% (67 of 292) with first-time-starters in 2018-19, she enters off a bullet half-mile breeze from the gate Nov. 1.
th pick: #10 (Zoysia) (8-1) - Heavily bet in both starts out of town, she finished third of 11, missing by almost 2 lengths debuting in a Colonial Downs grass sprint Aug. 17. Stretched out to a mile Sept. 28 at Monmouth, she raced very wide from a tough post (11 of 11) before checking in fourth. A 'live' longshot.
th pick: #8 (Amariel) (4-1) - This $300K daughter of 'American Pharoah' makes her debut off of some very fast works at the Fair Hill Center in western Maryland. Trainer Arnaud wins at a 16% clip first out and this filly is a threat if ready.
