Three-year-old missed by a 'neck' going nine furlongs at Saratoga Aug 5. Sent in for a two month break, he ran third Oct 2 at Belmont traveling seven furlongs. He's worked twice since and draws a nice outside slot at this one-turn mile.
2nd pick: #2 (Apache Warrior) (10-1) - Long shot is racing first off a Jeremiah Englehart claim (30%) and a subsequent seven week break. Gelding is training fast for his return and has shown good early speed in the past. Takes them as far as he can.
3rd pick: #3 (Mascarello) (12-1) - Home bred has been bet several times and is another with some early speed. Gelding by 'Langfuhr' is training above average for his first since Sept 20. Breeder/owner/trainer Jim Bond removes this runner's blinkers after four straight with the 'hood' on.
