Top pick: #5 (LOS BARRACHOS) (6-5) - Colt by "Pulpit" ships from Santa Anita where he rallied to finish second at this level going 6.5-furlongs on Feb. 6. He has a new trainer today (Bill Mott 24% with new arrivals) and he'll stretch him out around two-turns. Working well and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Sublime) (3-1) - Darley home-bred by "Medaglia d'Oro" raced evenly when debuting here in a sprint on Jan. 13. Freshened up for almost two months he has lasix added, goes longer, and is a win threat.
3rd pick: #1 (Read the Mirage) (12-1) - He tired a bit last out in a very tough field to finish 4th of 8, beaten just over four lengths. Has the rail and can factor at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Rare Eagle) (6-1) - No-speed type has been on the sidelines for two months and will need some pace help for anything more than a minor award.
