Top pick: #5 (LUCKYSDREAM) (7-5) - The probable favorite, he enters in sharp form and has the best speed of this group. He was an easy winner here at this trip for a $40K tag on Dec. 26. It was his first since March and once classier type was reclaimed that afternoon by Dave Jacobson. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Frisky Warrior) (8-1) - Veteran has been well managed during his career by trainer Ralph D'Alessandro. Old timer has gone 30-13-5-1 and most all of his wins have come in dirt sprints. Unraced since early October, he's won off of layoffs in the past and is 5-1-1-1 locally.
3rd pick: #4 (Don Tito) (3-1) - He rallied to finish third, 3 1/2 lengths back of "Luckysdream" on Dec. 26. It was his first race in seven months and this former stakes winner is a threat with any improvement whatsoever.
4th pick: #7 (Regulus) (4-1) - Veteran spent most of 2014 racing evenly going longer. On the sidelines since late Nov., he can get a share with his best but would need a complete pace collapse for anything more than that.
