Top pick: #2 (THE SPOTTED WONDER) (4-1) - Grey gelding was scratched here the other day to await this contest. Speed/stalker just missed facing high end "open" starter-allowance foes going a mile Nov. 20. He has the rail, is in career best shape, and will be very tough to beat in this spot.
2nd pick: #3 (Changewilldoyougood) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he's lightly raced, well bred, and enters off a pace-setting second place finish at this level and distance here Dec. 6. Broman runner has worked fast twice since and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Hidden Wonder) (8-1) - Speedy runner moves off the rail after a perfect trip third here at this level Dec. 15. There is speed to his inside so he'll need to rate a bit in this spot. Contender but need to do better.
4th pick: #6 (Futurazo) (15-1) - He makes his inner surface debut after going 15-3-5-2 in 2014. Speed/stalker fits with his best and ran second at this level at Belmont in late Sept. Think he can be involved from start-to-finish at a big price.
5th pick: #4 (Alcolite) (5-1) - He chased and held gamely to finish a distant second on Dec. 12 facing open starter-allowance foes. It was his first off a Sydney Dutrow claim and a subsequent two month break. Can factor with a repeat of that effort.
