Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (SPEARHEAD) (5-2) - Consistent sort finished 2nd here on the grass Nov. 22nd facing tougher. It was his first off a Linda Rice claim, and she drops him down in class while moving him back to the dirt. Stalker gets a slight edge in a competitive contest.
2nd pick: #9 (Union River) (3-1) - He's dropping in class and moving from the rail to the outside post. One run type finished an even 3rd here facing tougher Dec. 10th, and is a strong factor as trainer Tony Dutrow has him in an easier spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Combat Diver) (4-1) - No speed type races first off a Rudy Rodriguez claim (a strong 32% winning angle). Freshened up since that Nov. 11th barn switch, he's worked him five times locally since that time. A fast and/or contested pace would help his chances out.
4th pick: #8 (He's a Slam Dunk) (12-1) - Early speed is his game as he makes his NYRA debut. He's racing second back off a very long layoff and is dropping in class and stretching out in distance. Longshot will take them as far as he can.
