Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (LIANA STAR) (4-1) - Improving filly chased the pace while wide and held to finish 2nd here at this level and distance Feb. 7th. A career best overall, she's since come back with a sharp half-mile breeze at Belmont Feb. 21st.
2nd pick: #2 (Shoppingforsilver) (5-2) - One of two fillies shipping up from Gulfstream Park, she's raced evenly in both starts there and did not have the smoothest of trips in either. Can factor right off the plane.
3rd pick: #5 (Anydayismyday) (6-1) - Bargain priced ($3,000) daughter of 'Afleet Alex' has been competitive in all four sprint tries. Stalker was only a 1/2 length behind 'Liana Star' last out, but doesn't have as much room for up-side as that filly. Contender despite that observation.
4th pick: #7 (Morethanjusthello) (10-1) - The other Gulfstream invader, she had a lot of trouble there when debuting Dec. 9th, then tired badly in a follow up start Jan. 16th. She's worked twice at Belmont since arriving and probably has more talent than shown so far.
