Top pick: #8 (ROCK N COZY) (2-1) - Grey mare may have been best last out when she came up a neck short here at this level and distance. She was "forced out" in dep stretch by the winner, but after taking a look the stewards let the result stand. 5-year-old has been competitive when facing tougher fields than this in the past and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Bonita Sonata) (12-1) - Longshot hasn't raced raced since early Nov. and will return today with a new trainer (Bill Badgett Jr). He has this filly working above average and she can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #7 (Typhoon Teri) (4-1) - Nicely-bred filly has some early speed and is working fast for trainer Dom Galluscio as he prepares her for her first appearance since late Sept. Her early gear makes her very dangerous.
4th pick: #2 (Funny Money) (5-2) - Debuting 4-year-old by "Dehere" ships up from Florida where Chad Brown had her working above average at Palm Meadows. She worked at Belmont just four days ago and is basically running "right off the plane." Must be left in the mix.
