Top pick: #4 (PRUDENT INVESTOR) (3-1) - In what appears to be a two-horse race on paper, gelding drops in price after tiring last out facing tougher in his first off a Dave Jacobson claim and a subsequent seven week freshening. Well-bred, speed/stalker gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Street Thug) (7-5) - The probable favorite has the best early speed and will be dropping down to a new low off almost a two month break. Colt began his career with a lot of talent and promise, but has not been the same horse since coming off an eight month layoff last January. In the Pletcher barn, working fast, and an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Ego Friendly) (10-1) - No-speed type has the rail and comes off a third place finish at this level on Dec. 1. Racing back into shape and is capable of grabbing a share.
4th pick: #3 (Summer Sands) (8-1) - Drops off a pair of even effort facing better, Trainer Randi Persaud has had a strong three week run and this well-bred gelding is in the same race exotic bet mix.
