It was her first race since late July at Saratoga and first in a claimer. She's worked since has the rail, and blinkers are added. Think she can be competitive at a big price.
2nd pick: #3 (New Year's Wish) (2-1) - The probable favorite lightly raced 3yo ships back from Laurel where she finished a pace-setting third at this distance in a first-level allowance Nov. 16. The main speed, she's in a claimer today and is only one of two entered who has won on Aqueduct's main track in the past. An obvious win candidate and I could have easily made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #6 (Votre Coeur) (7-2) - Mare rallied while wide to miss by a 'nose' here at this level and distance Nov. 16. She was 5.5 lengths in front of 'Trouble For Skylar' that afternoon and is a threat if the effort is repeatable.
4th pick: #5 (Anne Dupree) (5-1) - Daughter of 'Curlin' is dropping in class and shortening up in distance. She tired here going a mile facing much tougher Nov. 18 and must be left in the mix.
