Top pick: #6 (KELLY'S PRIZE) (2-1) - Daughter of "Pure Prize" will be dropping in class and shortening up in distance. Stalker catches a bit of a questionable field and trainer Dave Donk has Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard. Three-year-old can win this with a stretch charge.
2nd pick: #2 (Mr Rico Is Valid) (5-2) - Lightly-raced filly has early speed and is switching from turf to dirt. She was reclaimed by trainer Gary Gullo after he lost her for one race and I always respect that angle.
3rd pick: #3 (Missy Bay) (6-1) - Filly by "Posse" exits the same Oct. 26 Belmont grass sprint as "Mr Rico Is Valid" and was only a 1/2 length back of that rival at the finish. Even-paced type is working fast on the dirt for this attempt and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Prove It All Night) (8-1) - The probable main speed, she tired to finish third on a sloppy surface for 1/2 this price on Nov. 1. Claimed that day by Joe Parker he's freshened her up for almost five weeks and doubles her up in price.
