Top pick: #5 (VAN TASSEL) - Bet down to favoritism here at this level and trip Nov. 12, gelding was involved from start to finish and came up a head shy on the wire. Race was his first off an 80 day freshening and his first with blinkers. Trainer Graham Motion has him making back to back starts for the first time and this $120,000 yearling by "Corinthian" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Image of Disco) - Speedy sort moves back to the grass after a pair of main-track sprints and he clearly is better on the infield. Stretches-out in distance, gets the addition of blinkers, and speed rider C.C. Lopez is aboard. Very dangerous on the lead at a nice price.
3rd pick: #6 (Sonnyandpally) - Exits the same last race as "Tassel" and he finished third, beaten almost 4 lengths by that rival. He had a tough outside post that day and should narrow the gap this afternoon with a much better starting slot.
