Colt by "Red Giant" won his only previous grass start and spent the winter in steady training on the deep surface at Payson Park. Lasix is added and this home-bred by "Red Giant" can take this if ready.
2nd pick: #2 (Camden Street) (3-1) - Speedy colt ships from Gulfstream in shape and racing off a 2 1/2 month layoff. Working well, in the Pletcher barn, and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (J to the Croft) (4-1) - He went gate-to-wire at odds of 16-1 when winning his debut sprinting on the local dirt April 2nd. The final time was quick and trainer Steve Klesaris will move him to the grass and stretch him out in distance for his first facing winners.
4th pick: #3 (Balderdash) (12-1) - New York bred ran well in all four grass start last year and has a strong closing kick. He's racing off a layoff and this field drew tough for the level. May grab a small slice at a big price with a late rally.
