Top pick: #3 (TOUCH THE STAR) (4-1) - Juddmonte home-bred ships from Gulfstream where she raced evenly following a "slow" start on March 22nd. It was her first since debuting at Belmont Oct. 13 and trainer Bill Mott adds blinkers as daughter of "Tapit" is making back-to-back starts for the first time.
2nd pick: #1 (Lady Lavery) (3-1) - She's part of a Darley entry and was only beaten four lengths when debuting at Gulfstream March 15th. She did not break sharply that day but can factor for the top spot today. Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin wins at a 30% clip second time out.
3rd pick: #8 (Cloture) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, home-bred is the type that can run all day and she should love this 1 1/8th mile trip. No-speed type ships from Gulfstream in shape and has been working nicely at Belmont. Win candidate.
4th pick: #2 (Al's Gal) (6-1) - Filly moves up in class after a near miss at Gulfstream racing for a $65K tag on Dec. 13. Daughter of grass champ "English Channel" has the rail and must be left in the mix.
