Top pick: #5 (MS SYLVIA A) (9-5) - Lightly-raced home-bred was an easy gate-to-wire maiden winner March 16th on the inner-surface in her first since an even effort when debuting at Belmont in early Sept. She's worked since and is nicely spotted in this starter-allowance.
2nd pick: #2 (Island Candy) (7-5) - The probable favorite, speedy filly broke her maiden by 7 lengths racing here for a $40K tag just one week ago. Claimed that day by Bruce Brown, he brings her back quickly and daughter of "Candy Ride" is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Brown Melissa) (6-1) - Daughter of Kentucky Derby winner "Big Brown" was never involved going a two-turn mile when facing tougher on March 7th. That broke a string of three straight solid efforts and trainer Randi Persaud drops her down and shortens her up in distance.
4th pick: #7 (Fast' n Firm) (15-1) - Longshot has had trouble breaking cleanly in four of five starts and last out tired after rushing up to set a contested pace. May grab a small share with an alert beginning.
