AQUEDUCT Race #5

Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (MAJESTIC NUMBER) (9-5) - Very lightly-raced colt looked to have a promising future when he broke his maiden for trainer Todd Pletcher on Feb. 11th of 2012 at Gulfstream, but he did not race again for 13 1/2 months. He broke slowly and had some traffic issues in his return in a grass sprint in Florida March 29th and will drop in price and switch back to the main-track. If he has anything left to give, he should beat this crew.

2nd pick: #5 (Quorum) (5-1) - Gelding shortens up in distance after finishing second here at this tag going a mile on April 3rd. Steady sort has run well sprinting in the past and could win this if "Number's" tank is empty.

3rd pick: #3 (Dighton) (2-1) - Florida shipper was claimed on Feb. 9 at Gulfstream by Carlos Martin for $75K, then was never involved three weeks late when overmatched in the "Swale" stakes (G3). He runs today off a seven week break and takes a big drop below the claimed price. He's an obvious threat and has a pair of fine recent works at Belmont, presumably with the blinkers on that he wears this afternoon.

4th pick: #6 (In Todd We Trust) (6-1) - He broke his maiden facing winners on April 5th, then ran evebly while finishing third here facing a bit tougher in his latest. In the Jacobson barn and a threat with his best.
