Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (NUBIN RIDGE) (7-2) - Consistent veteran is dropping in class and shortening back up a furlong. He rallied to finish second here going seven furlongs in a small stakes April 2 and 6-year-old is brought back quickly by trainer Chris Englehart. One-run type has the rail and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Mean Season) (3-1) - Speedy and very lightly raced, he's been freshened up since tiring at this level and distance on a muddy surface Feb 25. He had won four of his first five starts prior to that and has been working fast for this attempt.
3rd pick: #4 (Classic Salsa) (12-1) - Veteran has regressed a bit in his last pair following a barn change off a Jan 16 claim. He still has his early speed and his latest effort is a toss as he was buried down on the inside on a muddy track. Fits with his best and he'll be a very big price.
4th pick: #5 (Fabulous Kid) (5-2) - One of two entered by trainer Dave Jacobson and the pair race uncoupled. He's another that's dropping down following a trio of even efforts in sprint stakes. His form from last fall makes him a serious player if repeatable.
