Top pick: #9 (KIBBLE) (4-1) - Daughter of "Flatter" set a quick pace and held to finish third racing at this tag going a mile at Belmont on Oct. 10. By far her best effort in three tries, she's worked since and can upset the presumed favorite (#4 Arctic Ocean).
nd pick: #4 (Arctic Ocean) (2-1) - The probable heavy favorite, she was beaten a 1/2 length last out at Belmont and was three clear of "Kibble." It was her first on the grass, a career best overall, and grey filly is an obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #7 (Twist' n Bake) (8-1) - Daughter of "Langfuhr" showed fine early speed in her debut before tiring in the final furlong to finish fourth. She followed that up with a troubled effort last out and is dropping in class and stretching back out in distance. Expecting her to be involved from start-to-finish at a square price.
th pick: #5 (Coral Beach) (6-1) - Daughter of "Tale of the Cat" is moving from dirt to turf, stretching out in distance, and making back-to-back starts for the first time. In the Pletcher barn and you'll get the Hall of Famer at a square price if you like this filly's chances.
th pick: #2 (Matty's Wonderful) (6-1) - Home bred ran evenly on a muddy surface at Belmont when debuting in a 6-furlong sprint at this level Sept. 14. Trainer Dave Donk (28% 2nd time out) moves her to the grass and has her going longer. Don't just dismiss her.
