Godolphin bred/owned daughter of 'Ghostzapper' stretches out a furlong after finishing a pace-chasing second when debuting at Belmont Park going 6 furlongs Oct. 24.McLaughlin wins at a 24% rate second time out and this filly is working above average and draws a fine outside post.
2nd pick: #5 (Paynterbynumbers) (7-2) - One of three fillies making their debuts, this daughter of 'Paynter' sold for $200,000 as a 2yo in training this past April. Working very fast for trainer George Weaver (19% first out), it's noted that he has John Velazquez aboard.
3rd pick: #2 (Utiki) (5-1) - This speedy filly enters off a pace-setting second-place finish here going 6.5 furlongs on a muddy track Nov 3. It was her first with blinkers on and the rail is hers for the taking at the break.
4th pick: #7 (Introspection) (9-2) - The field's most experienced runner is cutting back in distance following a troubled wide and even effort going 8.5 furlongs Oct. 25 at Belmont. Competitive in three straight prior to that, she finished 2nd at this distance Sept. 2 at Saratoga and must be left in the mix.
