Top pick: #4 (INSIGHTING) (5-1) - He moves up in class for his first off a Tom Morley claim. Colt finished second last out at Belmont racing for a $25K tag going 7-furlongs and will be racing around two-turns for only the second time.
nd pick: #6 (Bottleofredorwhite) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he improved noticeably when trainer Todd Pletcher moved him to the turf last out. Racing off a two month break he rallied while very wide to check-in third of 12, beaten just over two lengths, going 6-furlongs at Belmont on Oct. 19. Stretches out (30% for Pletcher), and he has this gelfing by "Freud" making back-to-back starts for the first time. Very much a win candidate.
rd pick: #2 (Nail It) (10-1) - He hasn't raced since late Dec., but he took money in three of four starts last fall/winter and was in against some pretty good company. Stretch threat if ready.
th pick: #5 (Charity Reins) (15-1) - Well-bred colt runs third back from a 5 1/2 month layoff and has been competitive on this course in the past. Very wide here last out, son of "War Pass" draws a better post and can factor at a big price.
th pick: #3 (Chang's Secret) (7-2) - Home-bred rallied to finish second in the same Oct. 19 race as "Bottleofredorwhite" and finished in front of that rival in what was a career best. Can impact, but don't believe the stretch-out is in his favor.
