2nd pick: #2 (Miroc) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he has sharp early speed and is another dropping into a claimer for the first time. Home bred finished a pace-setting 3rd facing tougher Sept. 20th at Belmont and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Elusive Talmo) (4-1) - He's racing second back off almost an eight-week layoff. 3yo has some speed, switches from grass to dirt, and shortens up in distance. Trainer Rich Schosberg is adding blinkers and has John Velazquez aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #5 (Field Sense) (6-1) - One run type finished a close up 3rd at this level and distance on a sloppy surface Oct. 2nd at Belmont. It was his first outside of Maryland and it earned him a career best figure. Irad Ortiz, Jr. is back aboard.
