Top pick: #3 (HORATIO) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he set that pace until the final 1/16th last out and tired to finish third. Much improved since blinkers went on and he runs third off a 5 1/2 month layoff and trainer Steve Asmussen will drop him into a claimer for the first time.
2nd pick: #10 (Magic Q.G.) (8-1) - Gelding was bet down to 2-1 when debuting against "open" special weights at Finger Lakes on Oct. 12 and finished second in a solid first appearance. He's working nicely for his return and trainer Jeremiah Englehart has excellent numbers in all the relevant catagories: 39% off of long layoffs, 23% second-time out, and 33% on the drop into maiden claimers.
3rd pick: #1 (Golden Greeley) (12-1) - He's one of five firat-time starters and has a pair of back-to-back bullet works showing. He has the rail and can factor at a big price with an alert start.
4th pick: #2 (Shock Me Kaz) (4-1) - Nice debut on March 3rd saw him involved from the start and hold to finish second when racing for 1/2 this tag. Home-bred breaks just off the rail and can impact despite the rise in price.
