Top pick: #3 (CRAFTY GEM) - Mare races first off a Chris Englehart claim and that's a solid 30% winning move over the past 18 months. She has good early speed, cuts-back in distance for this, and Englehart names noted speed rider C.C. Lopez. This is her favorite surface (10-2-2-1) and she has a near bullet work on Feb. 20. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Indy's Forum) - Mare at one time was one of the speedier runners on this circuit and last out ran her best race since early December. She has a good record on wet tracks (7-1-3-0) and her barn brings her back in six days for this. Can be in this from start to finish.
3rd pick: #1 (Buddys Dream ) - She's never won on a wet track but has an excellent record nontheless(5-0-2-2). Has the rail and a good closing kick. This field is pretty poor and will have many backing-up down the stretch, so this grey filly has a fighting chance.
