Top pick: #5 (SHAMROGE) - The logical selection and probable heavy favorite. Gelding finished a non-threatening 3rd last out at this level after having a poor break in his first back off almost a three month layoff. Wins this with a "clean" break.
2nd pick: #2 (Citizen Bailey) - Finger Lakes invader improved when switched to conventional dirt and when he joined the high octane barn of "Lakes" champion trainer Chris Englehart. Working well locally and believe he's the main danger.
3rd pick: #1 (Moneyinthecuvee) - One of several that are coming back on short notice (16 days)off a sprint at this level on Jan. 6th. Colt raced evenly in his debut that day and checked in just over 4 lengths behind the top pick. Draws the rail and C.C.Lopez is enlisted. I'm anticipating a better effort.
