2nd pick: #4 (Mar Vista Miguel) (6-1) - Price play stretches out in distance for the first time. He's shown good early speed in all three sprints and is a threat to win this if left alone on the lead in the first half-mile.
3rd pick: #1 (Jumpinjack) (10-1) - He showed nothing when debuting at this level sprinting on a muddy surface Nov. 30. However, he's in the barn of leading trainer Rudy Rodriguez. Blinkers go on along with Irad Ortiz Jr. as this 3-year-old stretches out in distance.
4th pick: #8 (Benny Big Boy) (12-1) - Longshot has been freshened up since Nov. 18. He's dropping into a claimer and racing on the dirt, both for the first time. Look for an improved effort at a big price.
5th pick: #3 (Flux Capacitor) (15-1) - Another longshot, he's dropping back down after tiring here facing tougher Dec. 30. He fits with his best and can factor at a big price in this rather weak field.
