Top pick: #1 (CAMERON CANYON) (4-1) - Speedy colt tired badly at this level and distance just 6 days ago, but had finished 2nd in his previous start here under a simliar scenario. Has the rail, meets a weak field, and can cause a "mild" upset.
2nd pick: #6 (Winning Pal) (8-5) - The probable favorite, he's in the barn of Linda Rice (two wins yesterday) and this gelding has fine early speed. Last out he chased and weakened to finish 3rd facing slightly better and that came off an 8 week freshening. Drops, is brought back quickly, and I easily could have made him the top choice.
3rd pick: #8 (King Keene) (10-1) - He had a perfect trip here at this tag & trip Dec 28 but could do no better than finish 4th. Needs to improve for anything more than a minor share.
5th pick: #3 (Lone Star Gold) (4-1) - Gelding by "Freud" has been on the sidelines since May 18 and comes back at a new low in price. Working fine, but he fell when last in action and needs his very best off the long absence to contend.
