Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (MY FRIEND KEITH) (7-2) - He rallied while wide to check in 2nd of 11, beaten by four lengths racing here at this level and distance Dec. 20th. It was his first since Oct. 22nd and first off a private trainer change to Chris Englehart. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Uncle Duncan) (5-2) - Lightly raced speed/stalker looked sharp when breaking his maiden here at this distance Dec. 16th. It was his third back off a 4 1/2 month layoff and first in blinkers. A very strong win candidate, he should be viewed as the equal of 'My Friend Keith.'
3rd pick: #4 (Swagner) (10-1) - Longshot is racing third back from a two-month layoff. He's raced evenly in his return pair going six furlongs. In a capable barn (Patty Farro), and it's interesting that leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. gets aboard.
4th pick: #6 (Talk Time) (5-1) - Unraced since Nov. 25th, 4yo broke his maiden that afternoon going a mile on the main track here. Stalker is well bred and lightly raced. Home bred has room for up-side and must be left in the mix.
