Top pick: #4 (SUNRISE SMARTY) - Talented colt by "Smarty Jones" may have been best last out in a race at this level and distance. Even the best riders (in this case Ramon Dominguez) gave a very poor effort on this 4-year-old. He rode him over-confidently and he can make amends for that flop as the favorite. There isn't much speed in this race and I think trainer Mike Hushion will instruct jockey Channing Hill to put him on the lead. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Overcommunication) - Lightly-raced son of "Unbridled's Song" will sprint for the first time since Sept. 15 at Belmont when he finished a troubled second at this trip and condition. In-shape at this time and this Pletcher trained runner from the successful Repole Stable looks like the main danger.
