Top pick: #4 (Amber Morning) (8-5) - The probable favorite, she has the best form, but all have come on the grass. Speedy sort drops into a claimer for the first time as she runs third back off a two month break. Trainer Phil Serpe adds blinkers and she's the horse to beat if she handles the dirt.
2nd pick: #6 (Sky Lassie) (3-1) - Daughter of "Sky Mesa" has some fine races on the dirt in the past and is racing off almost a two month break and dropping into a claimer for the first time. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Threecrackerchile) (8-1) - She's shown little in her first pair on the grass, but has had legitimate excuses in both. Drops down, moves to the dirt, and filly has worked nicely on the dirt for a trainer having a career best year (Mark Hennig).
4th pick: #7 (Left Uppercut) (8-1) - This is her 21st start and she's gone 8-0-0-2 on the dirt in the past. She does have some speed and could be dangerous if she gets an easy early lead.
