Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #11 (BOBBY MAN) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer John Terranova III and the pair race as separate betting interests. Colt finished second here going 6 furlongs Nov. 22 and is brought back quickly while stretching out to a mile. I like his post and give him a small edge in a contest where boxing your bets is advised.
2nd pick: #5 (Scotty Brown) (2-1) - The second of the pair from the Terranova barn, son of 'Big Brown' finished a close-up third here at this level and distance in an 'off the turf' affair Nov. 10. The race was his first on the dirt, following three straight competitive efforts on the grass and he's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Pier Forty) (5-1) - Improving gelding was only a length behind 'Scotty Brown' racing on the Belmont turf Oct. 25. Freshened up since he breezed a bullet 5 furlongs Nov. 18 and this $250,000 purchase by 'City Zip' has a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Not That Brady) (7-2) - He set the pace and held strongly to finish second here at this level and distance Nov. 10. By far a career best, he was just under a length better than 'Scotty Brown' that afternoon at odds of 39-1. A repeat of that effort leaves him solidly in the mix.
