Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (SON OF DIXIE) (2-1) - Son of "Dixie Union" stretches out in distance after rallying to just miss going 6-furlongs on Nov. 5 racing for a $25K tag. It was his first since a win at Finger Lakes June 19th and first for trainer Michell Nevin. Three-year-old has the rail, a flexible style, and has been competitive in the past facing tougher going two-turns.

2nd pick: #7 (Grand Strand) (3-1) - He's racing back into shape following a seven week break in early fall and will be taking a significant drop in class for this attempt. Gelding enters off of three straight even efforts facing tougher and is a win threat in this spot.

3rd pick: #6 (Grandpa Len) (5-1) - "Grandpa" raced very wide while never involved last out on the grass. He had finished second in three of his previous five starts on the dirt and can factor today at a square price.

4th pick: #2 (Inca Saint) (9-2) - Lightly-raced and speedy he won last out going a mile on a sloppy surface and was claimed that afternoon for $16K. New barn brings him back quickly and moves him up just a bit. Can be in this from start-to-finish.
