Top pick: #1 (ENTRY of (1) A PRETTY DIXIE & (1a) CHLOE BEAR) (5-1) - Both of these fillies enter in top form and each has run well in the past on this speed favoring turf course. The have a recency edge on the other win candidates and both have a solid shat at taking this.
nd pick: #7 (Bunhead) (6-1) - She just missed at the Fair Grounds facing $20K "open" maidne claimers on March 17th and she showed sharp early speed that day. Daughter of "Hard Spun" has worked at Belmont since shipping back north and a repeat of her latest makes her a huge threat.
rd pick: #10 (Celesta) (3-1) - Lightly raced home-bred set the pace and weakened at Gulfstream facing special weights going 9 furlongs. Solid effort was her first in 3 1/2 months and this daughter of "Bernstein" must be left in the mix.
th pick: #6 (Sheedbdawon) (10-1) - In a winning barn (Mike Maker) this filly has been well-prepared at the Fair Grounds for her first since debuting at Belmont in late Oct. She'll be a big price and her works in New Orleans are impressive.
th pick: #2 (Genteela) (6-1) - Stretch out sprinter has finished close up in both dirt races and trainer John Kimmel will move her to the turf and send her around two-turns, both for the first time. She has the rail and "Junior" Alvarado stays aboard.
