It was his first race in two months, and he's since come back with a sharp half-mile breeze Nov. 21st. He draws outside of the speed, and the pace-picture today should be fast and/or contested.
2nd pick: #4 (Benny and Alex) (5-2) - Speedy and in shape, grey gelding ships back from Finger Lakes where he went 4-1-2-1 over the past three months. He's won on the NYRA circuit in the past and should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #2 (Legend Keeper) (10-1) - NEW gelding has been freshened up since Oct. 19th. He raced evenly while wide that day, and trainer Rudy Rodriguez gives him a big rider upgrade to Irad Ortiz, Jr.
4th pick: #5 (Boomerang Toy) (5-1) - Lightly raced and quick from the gate, he tired facing tougher Oct. 30th at Belmont facing tougher. It was his first since Sept. 10th and first following a Michelle Nevin claim. He's working fast and has won at this $16K tag in the past.
