Top pick: #4 (MAWTHOOQ) (2-1) - He debuted on a sloppy surface going 6-furlongs at this level on Oct. 11 at Belmont. He had a bit of traffic issues at the break but this $850K son of "Distorted Humor" did rally to finish second. Working fast for this attempt he's in a solid second out barn (Kiaran McLaughlin 23%). The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Hold On) (6-1) - Longshot ran evenly while between horses when debuting at Belmont on Oct. 25. Son of "Harlan's Holiday" has worked well since and his trainer Mark Hennig is enjoy a career year. Look for this colt to be competitive at a square price.
3rd pick: #2 (Unbridled's Hero) (5-1) - Son of "Unbridled's Song" exits the same Oct. 25 race as "Hold On" and he also ran evenly while not having a comfortable trip. He's worked three times since and all have been above average. Don't just dismiss.
