Top pick: #1 (MY ADONIS) (7-2) - Veteran is racing third back off a seven week freshening and ships back from Philly Park where he finished third in a swiftly run 7-furlong starter-allowance. His trainer (Dave Jacobson) has been very hot over the past 10 days and this once classier type is dropping in class. The horse to beat, but make sure you reverse your exactas.
2nd pick: #2 (Rap d'Oro) (4-1) - He enters in good form and last out at Belmont he finished an even fourth at this distance racing for a $25K tag. Strong finisher is two for three here, draws the ground-saving rail, and the drop back down makes him a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Little Jimmy) (6-1) - The main speed, he ships in from Finger Lakes where he's finished second in three straight. Consistent sort has gone 15-4-5-1 on the dirt and enters off a career best figure on Oct. 18. Dangerous if he gets an uncontested early lead.
4th pick: #5 (In the Beat) (15-1) - Gelding is dropping down after facing much tougher in his last four starts. His best race this year came at this tag in late June at Belmont when he ran third in a small strong field. May do some damage at a big price.
