Top pick: #5 (POLIZIANO) (2-1) - Veteran gelding has been at this 3l condition a very long time but has been competitive in the majority of those starts facing tougher. Stalker comes off a solid third-place finish at Belmont for a $20K tag Oct. 23 and the top two finishers that day would win this.
2nd pick: #3 (Shot to Win) (9-5) - Speedy New York bred has been on the sidelines since July 27th when he raced both wide and evenly at Saratoga facing tougher. One of his two wins came here and it was by far a career best from a figure angle. His speed makes him a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Solly's Mischief) (3-1) - "Solly" has been freshened up for two months after he rallied to win a Belmont sprint for a $25K tag on Sept. 6. Much improved at that time and trainer Rudy Rodriguez has him nicely spotted this afternoon. He's the third member of what looks like a three-horse race on paper.
