Top pick: #4 (COALITION) (3-1) - Colt stretches out in distance after a solid second-place finish here at this level going 6 furlongs on Feb. 24. Overall effort was his best since April of 2012 and his trainer (Dave Jacobson) has him all set for this longer contest.
2nd pick: #3 (Junior Officer) (5-2) - He had some traffic issues last out when finishing a distant third to the promising "Pinball" at this level and distance Feb. 17. In shape and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Sea to Sky) (2-1) - Nicely bred colt was scratched at the gate here recently, but it must have a minor problem as trainer Rick Violette brings him back in less than a week. In shape, he has a flexible style, and is in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #5 (Alcolite) (6-1) - 3-year-old takes a big drop in class after tiring badly in his latest facing tougher. Capable with his best and the drop should have him competitive.
