Top pick: #1 (DOWAGER) (1-1) - The probable heavy favorite, this Darley home-bred by "A.P. Indy" has the best speed, best form, has the rail post, and she meets a weak field. Working fine and 4-year-old will break her maiden with a trouble-free start.
2nd pick: #2 (Hope Rules) (12-1) - Price play is well-btred, very lightly raced, and is running second back from a two month freshening. Daughter of "Sky Mesa" is working nicely and it's noted that she's taken betting action in all three starts.
3rd pick: #6 (Sundae School) (15-1) - Grey filly raced wide and tired to finish third when facing weaker at this distance on Feb. 10. Her best races have come in claimers, so a small slice at a square price would appear to be her ceiling.
4th pick: #5 (Legally Bay) (8-1) - New York-bred has a bit more speed than most, but with "Dowager" most likely going to the front she'll need a careful ride from Angel Arroyo. A minor award is possible.
