#3 SYMMETRON (7/5) This lightly raced but productive 6yo won his last start in Canada Dec 1, then won his first start in New York Jan 21. That was a strong field that produced three next out winners, but Symmetron wasn’t one of them when he was jumped up in class Feb 9 off the claim by Bob Klesaris, who is having an excellent winter meet here. Symmetron had little chance to rally that day against a strong speed bias in a race that was won on the front end, but he now drops back to the level at which he was claimed and meets a relatively weak field for this level. He also gets a positive switch to hot rider Dominguez.
