Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (THREES ARE WILD) (7-2) - He's racing for the first time since Nov 29. NEW gelding is dropping in class and switching from grass to dirt. He has some early speed, is working fine on the Belmont training track, and meets a field with very little other speed. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Aaron Burr) (6-1) - Lightly-raced and well bred, he finished a very distant third here at this tag on a muddy track Dec 31. Home bred by 'Bernardini' has caught 'off' surfaces in both starts on the dirt and may do much better on a fast track. Trainer John Kimmel is adding blinkers.
3rd pick: #8 (Touch of Paradise) (6-1) - No-speed type rallied to finish second, 16-lengths behind the long gone winner but 1 1/2 better than 'Aaron Burr.' The type that can run all day, his chances would be enhanced by a fast/and or contested pace.
4th pick: #7 (Holy Week) (12-1) - Another with no early speed, he's dropping down to a new low in claiming price. Colt raced evenly after breaking from a tough outside post facing tougher here Dec 26. Stretch runner should be making up some ground late.
