Top pick: #7 (NINE LOVES) (1-1) - With high-percentage trainer Chris Englehart serving a short suspension, this filly races in the name of asst. Manny Gonzalez. Speedy 4-year-old has been freshened up since Oct. 3 and has some shap works showing for her return. Daughter of "Roaring Fever" has finished second in two of her three outings and was competitive in the other. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Typhoon Teri) (6-1) - She moves to the rail after chasing the pace while wide and tiring to finish fourth here at this level and distance on Feb. 1. Race was her first since Sept. 26 and she's worked fine since. Believe she's the main danger.
3rd pick: #4 (Bonita Sonata) (8-1) - She exits the same Feb. 1 race as "Teri" and raced wide after being involved in a "bumping" incident at the start. Filly has some closing punch and should run better with a clean break.
4th pick: #2 (Miss Mastery) (12-1) - Debuting filly has some sharp drills showing and doesn't meet a very strong group in her initial public appearance. If she does have talent, the money will show on the board.
