Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (RECKLESS HUMOR) (3-1) - On the sidelines since Nov. 27, trainer Rudy Rodriguez drops this mare in class, shortens her up in distance, and switches her from turf to dirt. She has the rail and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Julie D) (6-5) - Speedy mare is lightly raced and knows how to win. Five-year-old has won six-of-nine overall and is a perfect four-for-four at this distance. She was an easy gate-to-wire winner here for a $10K tag Jan. 5. Claimed that afternoon by the Chatterpaul barn, she's an obvious win candidate at a very short price. I could have easily made her the top pick.
3rd pick: #5 (Picture Day) (5-1) - She raced both wide and evenly here at this tag and trip on a muddy surface Jan. 12. It was her first race in eight months and she most likely needed the effort. Trainer Linda Rice is having a great meet and she's winning at a 39% rate second off of long layoffs over the past 13 months.
