Top pick: #9 (SUS ANNMARIES GOLD) (9-2) - Lightly raced filly drops and goes turf to dirt for the Rudy Rodriguez barn. She's the only one entered who has won on this surface in the past, and it came going 7-furlongs a year ago. Back in shape after a pair of layoffs, and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Start it Up) (6-1) - Filly was scratched the other day by trainer Dave Jacobson to await this spot. Lightly raced, she rallied to just miss going 6-furlongs at Belmont on Oct. 23rd in her first off a two month break. Daughter of "Jump Start" should love the extra furlong she travels today.
3rd pick: #11 (Assyria) (4-1) - On the sidelines since late May, grey filly has talent, drops into a straight claimer for the first time, draws a nice outside post, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Mile Margaux) (10-1) - She's been competitive at this tag in the past, will be dropping back down, and going turf to dirt. Stretch threat would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
