Top pick: #7 (ROBERT NOBLE) (2-1) - Lightly-raced colt by "Pioneer of the Nile" comes off a troubled race at Belmont on Oct. 12. He had all sorts of problems at the break and after rushing up while wide he tired readily from that point on. Trainer Dale Romans drops him a bit and colt has a much better post than he had in his latest. Zayat home bred meets a weak field and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Byron's Pop) (5-2) - Gelding tired last out when facing tougher in a Belmont sprint Oct. 11. It was his first since being claimed out of his debut at Saratoga for $75K on Aug. 11. Trainer Dave Jacobson drops him way down in class, stretches him out in distance, and has him making back-to-back starts for the first time. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Seal Team Six) (3-1) - No-speed type is dropping in class and moves to the main track after four starts on the grass. Well bred colt has been bet heavily a couple of times and it's a plus that he's stringing starts together. Must be left in the mix.
