Top pick: #1 (KID WANDO) - Speed/stalker enters this in fine form and runs first off a Dom Schettino claim. Has the rail which was good on yesterday's opening day card and he's been sharp in his last three (1-2-0), breaking from outside slots. Colt can take this if he holds his form off the barn switch.
2nd pick: #8 (Devoted Wildcat) - Reclaimed by Gary Gullo for $35K two back and he won at Saratoga on Sept. 1 for the successful mid-level trainer. Gelding has some back class and drops back down after being competitive last out facing tougher in his first off the re-take. Strong factor.
3rd pick: #4 (Professor Fate) - He runs off yet another claim and this will be his third straight for a new barn. Taken for $50K by Linda Rice on Oct. 3, she brings him back well below the purchase price, but a win would still make a slight profit if he's claimed again. Stalker fits with these and Rice wins at a 22% clip first off the claim.
