Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (JULESCO) (5-2) - Filly is the main speed, enters in good form, and draws the rail. Leading trainer Dave Jacobson has raced her back in shape following a two month break, and 4yo moves in with fellow New York-breds after setting the pace and holding to finish third facing "open" company at this $20K tag on Jan. 9th.

2nd pick: #6 (Run a Dubb Dubb) (6-1) - Barn drops her down off an even effort facing "open" starter-allowance company on Jan. 10th. Filly was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths here in her previous start, and can factor at a square price.

3rd pick: #5 (Guyana Princess) (7-2) - Veteran mare was claimed in late Nov. by Michelle Nevin for $14K, and has been freshened up for the past two months. Trainer is having a solid meet, and she was the top assistant for Rick Dutrow, Jr. before he received a 10yr suspension from the NYRA stewards.

4th pick: #2 (Sus Annmaries Gold) (3-1) - One of a pair entered by trainer Rudy Rodriguez, and they race uncoupled. Barn drops her down and shortens her up for this attempt, and strong finisher would love the speed to come back to the field down the stretch.
