2nd pick: #5 (Melodramatic Miss) (2-1) - Barn (Linda Rice) continues to have a strong meet on the inner surface. She's gone 43-11-6-8, and this lightly race filly finished 2nd here at this level and distance Jan. 1. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Champagne Therapy) (8-1) - Her best race to date came in a Saratoga grass sprint Sept. 3. However, following a 2.5-month break, she's only been competitive in one of three on the dirt since returning to action. She has the rail and will take them as far as she can.
4th pick: #7 (Eighth Commandment) (7-2) - On the sidelines since May, daughter of 'Broken Vow' is taking a big drop in class for her return. Most of her works are of the stamina building type, and unless there's a total pace collapse, a minor award is her ceiling.
