Top pick: #4 (MIAMI HAMMER) - Tries winners for the first time after a good looking maiden win here at this distance Dec. 16. Five-year-old gelding by "Include" had some promise early in his career, but was away from action twice for long periods of time. Speed/stalker has a nice work since his win and is well spotted today by trainer Nick Zito for his first facing fellow winners. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Stones Throw) - Has the rail, some tactical speed and he finished a close-up 3rd last out sprinting at this level Dec. 18. Five-year-old should be in this from start to finish.
3rd pick: #2 (Winning Token) - Home-bred finished fourth at this level going 7 furlongs in late Nov. and has been freshened up since then by trainer by Tom Bush. Lightly raced four-year-old broke his maiden at this mile trip in early July and should be competitive again in this spot.
