It was his first off a Rudy Rodriguez claim and a subsequent eight week freshening. It was his best overall in 11-months and I like the fact that they bring him back in six days for this attempt.
2nd pick: #6 (Summit Moon) (8-1) - Gelding chased and tired after breaking from an outside post here at this level going a bit farther Dec 18. He's racing back into shape following several layoffs and it's nice to see him stringing starts together.
3rd pick: #7 (Puppy Manners) (5-1) - He tired while wide facing tougher here going two-turns Dec 9. It was his first since late October and his connections are dropping him to a new low. Can see him being competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #8 (Jumpin Frac Flash) (4-1) - No-speed type has been racing evenly on both dirt and turf since winning at this distance for a $40K tag May 24 at Belmont Park. On the sidelines since Nov 15, he needs some pace help for anything more than a minor award.
